Winter Workshop Series for Creatives Part 4: SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
Sunday, February 24 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm$95
Are you engaging with an audience on Social Media? Are you connecting with a TARGET audience? Does that audience care about your work? Do your followers comment, like, and purchase your work? Are you baffled by algorythms and paid promotions? If any (or all!) of these things are issues you’ve faced in marketing your work, then this workshop is for you! Our experts share their social meda stories with you and offer sound, usable advice on growing your following, engaging with those followers, and ultimately leading those followers to supporting your work, monetarily and otherwise.
Join us to hear from local author Estelle Tracy, who is a food writer, community manager, and chocolate educator. Her self-published book “Guide de survie alimentaire aux États-Unis,” a food survival guide for French expats in the US, which she crowdfunded via Kickstarter, was reviewed by acclaimed author David Lebovitz as “an essential read” for anyone traveling from France to the US. A passionate community-builder, she’s the founder of two popular Facebook groups which gather over 6,800 members. She prides herself in creating positive, safe environments which foster a high degree of engagement.
Colleen Attara will share her story in engaging with followers using her authentic voice, and building her following by connecting and empowering others. Colleen is a greeting card designer and mixed media artist and holds workshops throughout the year at her farm studio and at retreats, where she shares her creative process and how she lets words and art come out through playing on the pages of altered books which are her canvas. Colleen helps people share what is in their hearts one word at a time.
Darice Pauselius, of FullCup.Co, will join us again to discuss paid promotions and marketing on Instagram and Facebook–while staying true to your brand. Maintaining a cohesive brand is essential on social media and Darice will help us understand ways to do that. FullCup.Co is a full-service studio with a focus on creative problem solving through intentional design. They create holistic branding solutions that include: logos, print collateral, and websites that make connections. In addition to design, they collaborate on product development as well as marketing and fundraising initiatives. Artists, innovators, and changemakers are just a few of the talents they enjoy lasting partnerships with.
Heather Davulcu, of April Heather Art, will share her journey of growing her audience on Instagram and how connecting with people from around the world has changed her mission and work. Heather’s illustrations have been featured on products such as greeting cards, journals, playing cards, fabric, and home decor.
Stephanie Ryan will join us again to inspire us with how she has grown her Instagram following, how she engages with those followers, and how that has helped her business grow in new directions. Using her authentic and sometimes vulnerable voice, Stephanie has created art that touches the heart and inspires the creative spirit. Her soothing, soulful, intuitive paintings are inspired by nature and the feelings that bind her to it, creating an introspective mood that connects the viewer with her art. It is visual poetry—beautiful colors with touches of light and inspired thoughts.
Following these presentations will be a 30 minute Q&A so that you can get the answers to your burning questions!
