Winter Workshop Series for Creatives Part 3: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Sunday, February 24 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 pm$95
Have you imagined creating beautiful, functional products with your own art? Dreamed of writing or illustrating a book and self publishing it? Learn the ins and outs of the process involved in creating your own products and published work. What is involved in self-publishing? What are Drop-Ship companies and how does that work? What do I need to know before I develop a greeting card line? How about printing? Get the answers to all of these questions and more from our panel of experts!
Join us to hear from local author Estelle Tracy, who is a food writer, community manager, and chocolate educator. Her self-published book “Guide de survie alimentaire aux États-Unis,” a food survival guide for French expats in the US, which she crowdfunded via Kickstarter, was reviewed by acclaimed author David Lebovitz as “an essential read” for anyone traveling from France to the US. As a chocolate educator, Estelle shares her knowledge through lectures, chocolate tastings, as well as on a chocolate blog, 37chocolates.com. Since 2016, she’s held sold out lectures in Chester County, Dallas, and Paris in France.
Colleen Attara will share her story in creating and developing a successful greeting card line which can be found in stores across the country, including Wegmans and Trader Joe’s. In addition to being a card designer, Colleen is also a mixed media artist and holds workshops throughout the year at her farm studio and at retreats, where she shares her creative process and how she lets words and art come out through playing on the pages of altered books which are her canvas.
Darice Pauselius, of FullCup.Co, will join us again to talk about the process of developing products, getting samples, working with manufacturers and printers, wrapping all of those things into your creative Brand, and selling those new products online. FullCup.Co is a full-service studio with a focus on creative problem solving through intentional design. They create holistic branding solutions that include: logos, print collateral, and websites that make connections. In addition to design, they collaborate on product development as well as marketing and fundraising initiatives. Artists, innovators, and changemakers are just a few of the talents they enjoy lasting partnerships with.
Heather Davulcu, of April Heather Art, will share her journey in creating her illustration business and how she has expanded her work through online sales, Drop-Ship companies, and developing original products. Heather’s designs have been featured on products found at Pier One, JoAnne’s, Michael’s, and Trader Joe’s.
Following these presentations will be a 30 minute Q&A so that you can get the answeres to your burning questions!
This workshop is offered as part of a 4 PART SERIES. Each session is $95, OR purchase all 4 sessions for $70 each.
