The Reason for a Flower presented by the Delaware Nature Society

Saturday, April 27 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Why do we have flowers? To make seeds, of course! In partnership with the Longwood Gardens Community Read program, the Kennett Library will be hosting a special presentation of “The Reason for a Flower.” Can a flower weigh as much as a tortoise? How do seeds “travel”? Would a snake eat a seed? Would YOU eat a seed? With the help of some live and taxidermied animals, Delaware Nature Society will explore the answers to these and other questions and delve into an amazing array of seeds: one as big as your head, a few tinier than sand-grains, and everything in between! This program is ideal for Grades K – 5. No registration is required.
