2018 Holiday Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
Sunday, December 9 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 12:00pm on Sunday, repeating until Sunday, December 23, 2018
Enjoy the family friendly Kennett Square holiday tradition. Carriages rides run Sunday from 12-3pm leaving from the Northeast corner of State and Union Street (in front of Genesis HealthCare Building) on December 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. Carriage rides cost $5 a person, children 5 and under are free – cash or check accepted before you take your ride. Sign ups start at 12pm, no earlier. An attendant will place you and your party in the appropriate sized carriage (we have two carriages – each one is different size). The attendant can give you an approximate wait time so you can enjoy the cafes and shops in our downtown while you wait for your carriage ride. The carriage ride is about 15 minutes. Last carriage ride leaves around 2:45pm. Sign ups are first come first guaranteed ride (not necessarily time slot, because the size of your party determines which carriage you take and when). There are a limited amount of rides that can go on a given day within the 12 – 3pm time slot, after that the ponies get tired.
Carriage rides are weather dependent (temperature, wind and precipitation) . The healthy and safety of the horses are the top priority for our carriage ride provider – Lisa Knox of Fox Meadow Farms. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Free parking available in the Municipal Parking Garage (100 East Linden Street) on Sundays.
