Kennett Square’s Art Stroll is a monthly celebration of the local art scene as it is showcased in the galleries, shops and restaurants throughout town.  Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to stroll the tree-lined streets and browse the many businesses that stay open late.  The Art Stroll runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.

AFTER 5 p.m. on Friday, enjoy free parking anywhere in the PARKING GARAGE and at any street meter.

FIRST FRIDAY ART STROLL – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1st 6-9PM
Brandywine traditionalist Mark Dance with the exceptional Karl J. Kuerner have both committed to provide original pieces for their joint show “Our Brandywine Roots” at Mala Galleria in Kennett Square. Join both artists for the opening and cocktails on December 1st, 2017 at 6PM to 9PM.

Dance lives in the Chadds Ford Area, where the collection at the Brandywine River Museum and the masters of the Pennsylvania Impressionists movement are key to his focus. The artist is also the son of renowned maritime artist Robert B. Dance, who will also be there to present some recent works at the show.

Kuerner is an exceptional painter who has contributed greatly to the tradition of American realism and has been recognized as a major force in American art. The Kuerner legacy in Chadds Ford is renowned not only for his own artistic talents but his family’s historical connection to the area.

The beauty of the Brandywine, which we are rapidly losing to development, is a focus for the artwork of both artists. Each painter brings us home to our Brandywine roots. Please join us on December 1st at Mala Galleria for a great evening and the art event of the year.
