Kennett Square Farmers Market

WHAT’S FRESH AND NEW AT MARKET THIS WEEK? June 23rd

Celebrate SUMMER with a trip to Market, and enjoy the bounty that the new season brings!

Ben from Shady Grove will have a limited supply of the first freshly picked black raspberries (more to come!)

Rex Farms Orchard will have more of their incredibly sweet cherries. And we’ll have freshly picked blueberries from both Swallow Hill Farm and Rex Farms!

We’re excited to welcome two more vendors to our 4th Friday lineup!

• Our furry friends deserve a healthy diet, too, so we’re excited to announce that K-9 Kraving is back at Market this week, once per month! Stock up on their raw dog food, new Green Tripe Cookies and Smoked Marrow Bones.

• You can now grab local brews from Victory Brewing Company on 4th Fridays while you shop for all of your weekly needs at Market! Find them near the center of the Genesis Walkway. This week, they will have 6-packs of Cage Radler, HopDevil, and Prima Pils (in cans).

We are so grateful for our sponsors and local community partners, and we’re happy to have to Dr. Ricky Haug of Core Family Practice back this month! Dr. Haug will join us every 4th Friday, offering free blood pressure screenings to Market customers.

Below is a listing of all vendors, and what they’re bringing this week. See you from 3–7pm!

A quick reminder about time: Please note that there will be no Market sales before 3pm. We hope the later hours will allow more of our community to enjoy the Market after work on Fridays!

SPECIAL GUEST THIS WEEK

While sesame doesn’t grow around here, Soom Foods is a Philadelphia-based, certified Women-Owned company, and their tahini makes an excellent pantry staple to complement your local produce. This week, co-founder Amy Zitelman will be at Market sharing samples and recipe inspiration!

A delicious source of protein, calcium and healthy fats, Soom’s tahini can be used to make plant-based creamy dressings or serve as a simple spread for toast (with some local honey!) in lieu of nut butter. It’s super versatile for both savory and sweet dishes! Find recipe inspiration on their website, such as a sauce for buffalo cauliflower bites, mayo-free coleslaw, or a sweet tahini pear (or seasonal fruit) tart.

Be sure to try the amazing chocolate Soom, too! (Make room in your pantry, Nutella fans!) It is made from only three natural ingredients: Soom tahini, cocoa powder, and powdered pure cane sugar. No nuts, no dairy, and no added oil!
