Our farms are still harvesting late summer crops, but quantities of peaches, tomatoes, corn & raspberries are more limited. Peppers will be coming in strong for a bit longer. Celebrate the Autumnal Equinox with us, and fill your baskets + reusable bags (see below) with Fall flavors & colors. Enjoy the bounty of apples, cider, pumpkins, gourds & mums to kick off this beautiful + delicious season!

Canter Hill Farm-NOT at Market this week (regularly 1st/3rd/5th Fridays) BUT it’s time to think about Thanksgiving! They are taking orders for their pastured heritage turkeys. Local pick-up will be at Kennett Friends Meeting on Tuesday, 11/22 from 5:30-7pm. Find details & order forms on their website.
Flying Plow Farm-Flying Plow’s certified organic vegetable harvest may include tender lettuce mix + greens, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, bok choi, winter squash, carrots, kale, sweet potatoes, kohlrabi, beets, herbs, onions, garlic. Also, they have a full supply of pasture-raised certified organic chicken & 100% grass-fed/finished beef + certified organic eggs. *Preorders for chicken & beef are recommended via their online order form.*
London Vale Farm-John plans to have sweet corn, peppers, green beans, limas, tomatoes! Also carrots, onions, potatoes and PUMPKINS. And plenty of pork, grilling sausages + fresh eggs! Pre-order any pork cuts by calling the farm at 610 869 3223.
Shady Grove-Ben’s gorgeous cut flower bouquets and single stem flowers are a market favorite! His chemical-free produce is just as lovely. This week he hopes to have a few more cherry & heirloom slicing tomatoes, red raspberries. Also lettuce, onions, dried garlic, potatoes, a colorful variety of sweet peppers, zucchini, carrots, sweet potatoes & lima beans. Also in time for cool weather snacking—Ben’s homegrown popcorn! He also has beautiful fall plants, including colorful mums!
Swallow Hill Farm-Elizabeth & Doug will have their perfect Tuscan kale, zucchini, sweet onions, assortment of peppers (Carmen, bell, Cubanelle), broccoli, butternut squashand napa cabbage. It’s the final week for late season rhubarb. All “homegrown with love” that you can taste!
Rex Farms Orchard–Troy & Maria are still bringing peaches (limited quantities) plus a wider range of apple varieties each week, including Gala, Empire, Honey Crisp & Ginger Gold! New this week: Cameo & Grimes Golden apples + FRESH sweet apple cider! Be sure to grab a few bottles of Big Hill Ciderworks gluten-free hard cider for the week. Their hard cider is made with fruit grown, pressed, fermented and bottled right on the farm!
FOOD ARTISANS & PRODUCERS
Big Sky Bread–Bringing whole-grain artisanal breads and natural, preservative-free baked goods, Big Sky Bread is a local favorite and longtime market vendor. Each week they have a wide variety of crusty European style breads, pre-sliced sandwich breads, freshly baked rolls, english muffins, granola, croissants, cookies and more. Grab some organic sandwich bread for school lunch needs!
Dough Run–Sarah makes both classic and uniquely spiced savory granolas, bars, clusters and pancake mix. She uses organic oats, honey local to her production kitchen in MD, and local herbs in her savory granolas. And for easy healthy snacking that also satisfies the sweet-tooth (naturally!) stock up on her Honey Oat Clusters and 3G Bars!
Jack’s Jams & Jellies–Find Jack carving and conversing at the end of the walkway close to the garage. His delicious jams, jellies and pickles are made in small batches in his certified home kitchen in Southern Chester County. He uses carefully selected ingredients, in many cases grown in his own backyard!
Joanne’s Candy Kitchen–Come get a taste of Kevin’s sweet handmade creations such as almond butter crunch, peppermint patties, chocolate covered caramels, and so much more! Joanne’s is a small family business with recipes passed down through the generations, using Wilbur chocolate out of Lilitz, PA.
Maiale Deli & Salumeria–Handcrafted locally, Maiale (“My.all.ay”) has unique fresh sausages, with flavor combinations such as Thai Curry Chicken, Cheddarwurst, Buffalo Chicken and Sriracha Honey Sausage! They will also bring their signature salumi—varieties may include Tuscan Salami, Sopressata, Cacciatore Salami, Pepperoni, Coppa, Lanzo, Pancetta and Guanciale.
Plantie–With expertise in holistic nutrition and plant-based cooking, Alicia is bringing her Plantie Potions—100% raw, organic smoothies—on 2nd & 4th Fridays. Stock up for easy nourishment on the go! This week’s smoothies: ZEN (green) & GLOW (orange).
Sunset Park Cookies–You don’t have to be gluten-free or vegan to appreciate Sunset Park’s delicious cookies, whoopie pies, sweet breads, and homemade pies! He also has cookies with no added sugar! Fred is at market each week with his scrumptious, freshly baked treats.
Tat’s Yummies–Melina is an expert baker, bringing a delectable variety of European pastries, cookies, tarts, macarons, cakes and pies to market each week. Made from scratch with no preservatives or artificial ingredients, her baked goods are as beautiful as they are delicious. Her focaccia is a popular savory item, with either fresh basil or rosemary with tomato, garlic, onions, salt, pepper + olive oil. A great appetizer or vegetarian dish! PREPARED FOODS (ready-to-heat / serve)
Taste of Puebla–Chris will have plenty of hand-cut corn chips, fresh (and addictive!) guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsa fresca. He also has three varieties of delicious tamales—pork, chicken and vegan—ready to heat and serve. Grab a take-home Taco Kit for an easy Friday night dinner! Get 2lbs of prepared meat (pulled pork or chicken tinga), 9oz guacamole, 9oz salsa fresca, chopped onion & cilantro, plus 16 corn tortillas! Grab a bottle of hibiscus agua fresca for a delicious thirst-quencher.

K9 Kraving–Keep your pups healthy with all-natural dog treats & raw dog food, made right here in the USA with ingredients you can trust. Jeff is at Market every 4th Friday.
The Market is held RAIN OR SHINE. As long as we don’t have high winds or severe storms, we will be there! So gear up when needed and make a quick run through the market to support our local vendors who come out in all weather.

* Starting at 3pm on market days, Farmers Market customers are welcome to park on any level of the garage. Entrance to the garage is on Linden Street.
* Metered street parking is also available before 5pm. Parking is FREE AFTER 5PM at all meters in town!
